The Belize Baboon Sanctuary & Zip Line Excursion starts a few feet from your tender in the Port of Belize City where you will board your van for the drive to the Baboon Sanctuary.
This limited group excursion will take you to the Belize Low Pine Ridge Land, onto the Town of Burrel Boom, where the nature reserve is located nearby.
The 40-minute drive from the Port of Belize City will showcase the outskirts of Belize City, quickly changing to the Belize River and rainforest land. A driving tour of Belize City will be showcased following the Tour.
The orientation begins at the quaint museum found on site. This is followed by an interpretive nature walk into the rain forest and into the World of the Black Howler Monkeys.
A short 10-minute walk in the rain forest will take you into the Howler Monkey Habitat. You will find yourself in nature, surrounded by Howler Monkeys and pristine rain forest.
The Howler Monkeys are in their natural habitat. The search for the many Families of Monkeys in the rainforest is both thrilling and educational.
A medicinal plants showcase is given by your dedicated Tour Guide during the short search for Howler Monkeys. Due to the lush vegetation, many plants are found along the way that is the Monkey’s favorite food.
Listen closely to your Guide, as the plant’s leaves you will pick will have the Monkeys come down from the canopy to receive their favorite treat.
Protected due to their fragile eco-system, the 20sq mile rain forest sanctuary boasts well over 4,000 Black Howler Monkeys.
Conway, the area beneficiary, has dedicated his life to the protection of the largest Howler Monkey in the World, the Black Howler Monkey.
Following your visit to the Belize Baboon Sanctuary, we continue on to our beautiful Zip Line Park.
The Belize Zip Line Park Tour begins in our rain forest in the crocodile conservation area. Your bilingual-speaking Guides will guide you through the park to the staging area. Guides will help you with your gear, your harness, helmet, and hand gear in preparation for your aerial adventure.
The zip line adventure consists of 7 platforms, with 4 full river crossings! Your Zip Line adventure begins from the first platform where you will “jump” from the first platform to zip to the next platform found 150ft away.
Flying through the air surrounded by nature is the most exhilarating feeling ever encountered, the parrots, macaws, toucans, and Howler Monkeys found onsite will be at eye level making you one with the prolific nature Belize if famous for.
All landing platforms are equipped with safety gear, handrails, and Guides to meet your next landing as well as to ensure your personal safety throughout the tour.
