The Altun Ha Mayan Ruins are a beautiful example of the Mayan architectural accomplishments from over 2000 years ago in Belize.

Altun Ha is one of the most famous Mayan Centers, founded around 900 BC, perhaps a few centuries earlier.  The Mayan Center was undoubtedly one of the smallest in Belize but was a critical trading post for the Mayan civilization at the time.

Once hidden in the thick jungle, the Mayan Temples of Belize have since been restored to their original splendor.  When visiting these spectacular sites, one cannot help but feel the ever-present Mayan Spirit.

Altun Ha is close to the Belize City Port, a short 1hr drive from the Cruise Ship Terminal.  The Temples and manicured grounds at Altun Ha make your visit to this magnificent ancient City a great family-oriented activity.
